A summery hello from Raleigh, North Carolina! My name is Kony Chatterjee and I am a PhD student in the Fiber and Polymer Science Program at North Carolina State University's Wilson College of Textiles. My research focuses on smart textiles and flexible electronics, and I am presenting our research on flexible fiber-based sensors at MRS Spring 2019's Session EP04.15: Soft Electronics - Manufacturing and Design II. My presentation is on April 26, 2019 from 4:30pm.
Given all the research around smart textiles, I am especially excited about sessions on Functional Materials and Applications for Soft Electronics, Wearable Sensors and Devices, Robotics Prosthetics and Eskin, and Soft and Stretchable Systems and Applications. The meeting is just a few days away and as someone who has never attended an MRS conference or been to Phoenix, I am doubly excited to do two new things for an entire week! It's also really exciting to be able to blog during the conference and convey some of the exciting research coming up in the next few days. However, it isn't just the research that is going to be a great experience, but also the various events and activities organized over the entire week from April 22 - 26, 2019. I have already signed up for the MRS Career Fair and the Women in Materials Science and Engineering Breakfast! Additionally, I am also looking forward to all the great posters and awards and talks that will be going on during the meeting.
