Educational Outreach at Student Mixer

During the student mingle at Sheraton, third floor, commonwealth, the educational outreach directors Daniel Steinberg (Princeton University) and Kristin Dreyer (Pennsylvania State University) informed about the NSF funded MRSEC  (Materials Research Science and Engineering Centrers) programs. They communicated that MRSEC is a cross disciplinary science research which builds a network of Faculties, Research scholars and Post-docs throughout the United States to work primarily on two aspects - 1.) Intellectual aspect i.e. MRSEC funds material science research of a scope and complexity which seems impractical under traditional funding of individual research projects. 2.) Creating broader impact i.e. MRSEC  encourages transfer of university based research or education through active educational learning activities.
