Hi all,
I am Sebastián Suárez Schmidt, a Material Scientist and writer for the MRS Bulletin. My scientific research is stationed at the University of Puerto Rico – Río Piedras, where I have recently specialized in the development of metal phthalocyanine nanostructures for gas sensing and monitoring applications at trace amounts. Aside from my research, I also enjoy the dissemination of written content within the general public or the scientific community and aspire to eventually dedicate my career to writing.
This year, our team of writers will bring you closer to the presenters as well as encourage discussions by summarizing the overall experience in each event that we attend. From my part, I am specially excited to cover the varied presentations focusing on their social impacts, characterization techniques and energy efficiency. During this virtual portion of the Hybrid MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit, we can also look forward to diverse networking opportunities with colleagues from all over the world. So feel free to reach out or message other researchers when the opportunity presents itself.
We encourage the attendants to find topics that pique their interest from the broad array of symposium sessions in our virtual catalog. Or for a more open discussion, share your thoughts using the #S22MRS over on Twitter. I hope to connect with as many presenters as possible and that everyone enjoys this year’s 2022 Hybrid MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit.
Kind regards.
