How exciting is materials science!?!?

I'm so excited for MRS next week, and I wanted to welcome all you out of towners to the Bay Area. My name is Joanna Bettinger, and I'm a grad student at Berkeley (just across the bay from San Francisco) studying magnetic thin films. I'll be one of your student bloggers for the week.
